Company
Care and Health Solutions (CHS) is a newly formed company in 2009 specialising in adult social care consultant support for County Councils and Local Authorities engaged in the transformation of services to meet the Personalisation agenda, the introduction of Reablement, and delivery of new models of service delivery including ground breaking Local Authority Trading Companies. In addition CHS works with the voluntary, private, and housing sectors involved in the delivery of social care services including major PFI and strategic development projects.
CHS offers expert consultancy in a range of areas including change management, performance improvements, strategic development, business transformation, and interim management. CHS offers a specialist knowledge base in dementia service solutions and design including advising on extra care and nursing home projects.
Mark Lloyd and Mike Walsh the Directors of CHS both come from substantive and experienced backgrounds (see who we are) within the public and private sectors with proven track records in delivering front line services, achieving major transformation programmes within organisations, and holding a combined senior management experience of some 40 years across local government, health, and the not for profit provider sectors in delivering high quality services.
Both Mark and Mike have had successful careers as senior managers before moving into consultancy management in their own rights as Mark Lloyd Associates Limited (mark@careandhealthsolutions.co.uk) and Walsh Social Care Consultants Limited (mike@careandhealthsolutions.co.uk). Both have now joined together bringing their respective backgrounds and experience to form the new Care and Health Solutions management consultancy agency.

Mike Walsh & Mark Lloyd
Our strength and uniqueness as a management consultancy company comes from our personal direct experience as Adult Social Care Providers, with access to a pool of specialist associates (see associates page), with a track record in delivering major organisational change against government performance targets, and delivering award winning services including complex new adult social care developments including Private Finance Initiative (PFI) options.
As hands on senior managers our consultancy support is not just about advice and guidance to provider organisations on Government Policy and its implications (see our weekly blog page) but also as managers with a knowledge and track record in delivering agreed organisational strategies and objectives, and as implementers of major change management programmes.
As a consultant team we hold CVs which demonstrate our management credentials in the management of registered care homes, domiciliary services, mental health, physical and sensory disabilities, and all associated specialism’s connected with Adult Social Care Services.
We are well placed to advice on the Government Agenda of Personalisation and greater control to the Service User both within Adult Social Care and the Health Sector. Both Mark and Mike have spoken at national conferences on current trends in the Social Care Market (including the Annual Laing and Buisson Independent Living Conference and in 2009 the National Care Forum Annual Conference at the Institute of Directors).
